Handler Seed Treaters
The Handler HD Treater is a pumping system that, when used in
conjunction with the Handler Total Coat applicator, makes up an
on-the-go seed treating system. Using a powerful Baldor 1 HP
115/230 VAC motor or an efficient and easy-starting 5.5 HP Honda GX
engine, the Handler HD Treater can be used in any remote location or
near available electric power.
The Handler HD Treater is designed to do three main
things:
- Thoroughly mix and put into suspension more seed
treatments, including extremely high viscosity slurries like polymers
and peat-based slurries, than comparable delivery systems in the market
- Eliminate contact between the user and the product
- Deliver mixed product at a controlled rate to the Total
Coat applicator or commercial treatment application system

Among
some of the additional features of the system:
- Polypropylene fittings and controls will not corrode when
they come in contact with any of today’s seed treatments.
- Our accurately calibrated 15 US gallon or 70 gallon
cone-bottom tanks work on any terrain and are large enough for many
on-the-go situations.
- The large polypropylene strainer on the machine filters out
any foreign particles that could plug your applicator, with the large
screen size causing minimal flow and pressure restriction.
- With both bypass agitation and jet agitation the user can
control the mixing and agitation, with minimal foaming.
At the heart of The Handler HD Treater seed treatment
pumping system is the powerful 3/4 in inlet X 3/8 in outlet
double-diaphragm medium pressure diaphragm pump. Among the
features of the pump:
- Low-cost maintenance and almost wear-free operation
- Continuous duty rating
- Designed to handle the harshest and most viscous farm
products on the market today, including polymers and peat-based
slurries
- Maximum flow of 6.0 gpm at 50 psi, and pressures to 275 psi
- Built-in manual pump bypass and pump dampening system
- Electric specifications - 11.8 full load Amps at 115 volts
and 5.9 full load Amps at 230 volts.
On-Farm Seed Treatment
Pumping & Delivery Systems
The
VL is not suitable for applying peat based inoculants as a
slurry. If this is your intended use, please view our
commercial mixing units. The VL is also not capable of pumping solvent
based products such as Vitavax® due to the volatile nature of
the product.
The Handler VL Seed
Treater
The Handler VL is a mixing and delivery system that, when used in
conjunction with the Handler Total Coat applicator, makes up an
on-the-go seed treating system. Using a high volume 115 VAC
or 12 VDC pump, the VL can be used in the field or at home base
regardless of available power type.

The
VL is designed to do three main things:
- Thoroughly mix and put into suspension your seed treatment
- Eliminate contact between the user and the product
- Deliver mixed product at a controlled rate to the Total
Coat applicator
Among some of the additional Features
- Polypropylene fittings and controls will not corrode when

At the heart of the VL system are the efficient 115 VAC and 12 VDC
pumps. These 1/2 in inlet/ 1/2 in outlet pumps have viton
valves and a santophene diaphragm to stand up to harsh water-based seed
treatments, and because they are diaphragm pumps, they can be run dry.
Why purchase a Handler
Seed Treater?
Simply put, the Handler Seed Treaters make premixing, mixing and
pumping of seed treatments easier, faster and safer. The
Handler Seed Treaters are designed to agitate products and keep solids
suspended, while at the same time, reduce the amount of foam and
contamination that can happen during the mixing process. The
Handler Twin Seed Treaters further benefit the user by allowing for the
mixing of more than one product, or can alternately be set up as a
reliable source of fresh water.
Where we are extremely proud of the Handler Seed Treater is in its
versatility. There are very few limitations to products that
can be premixed, mixed or pumped from our units. The
commercial Handler Seed Treaters can pump water soluble seed treatments
and liquid or peat based inoculants.
In addition, the cone bottomed, calibrated Handler tank has no
corners! We realize that seed treatments and inoculants are
expensive, and with the Handler no product is left in the tank and
rinse water can be quickly and easily pumped out for proper storage and
reuse.
Your Handler Seed Treater is available without a pump, and is
plumbed to fit with an existing commercial delivery system.
These cone-bottomed units are designed to work with
popular products like Gaucho® and Raxil® from Gustafson
and Dividend® from Syngenta where large volumes of seed
treatment need to be mixed or stored.
