1. Our tanks are built to last a lifetime
Unlike concrete and metal tanks that will corrode and rust over time,
fiberglass tanks are built to last a lifetime. Fiberglass tanks
were first installed underground in the 1950's, and many of the tanks
that were installed then are still in service today. The harsh
acidic nature of many soils and of sewage play havoc on other tanks...
but not on fibreglass tanks.
2. Every one of our tanks is made from non-filled, neat resin
The neat resin process is the only process where the fibreglass
maintains all of its strength and integrity. In a filled resin
process, fillers are added to the tank material that take away from the
natural strength of fiberglass. These tanks have to be built with
thicker walls to compensate for the lost strength. Our tanks do
not have this problem. The neat resin process also allows the
user to see through the tanks, a definite advantage in above ground
applications.
3. We add steel ribs to our tanks
The addition of steel ribs to our tanks helps the tank maintain its
shape under troublesome conditions. We use steel because it
is much stronger than both fiberglass and cardboard ribs, both of which
are currently used on fibreglass tanks today.
4. Every tank leaves our plant tested
We test every tank twice before they leave our plant. We guarantee that your tanks will not leak under regular conditions.
5. Our underground tanks are one piece tanks
All of the underground Versa tanks manufactured by Focus Industries
Inc. are a one piece design. With the one piece design we can
ensure that the tanks are put in the ground with all of the structural
integrity to which they are designed and manufactured. With a one
piece design the tanks are stronger and less prone to leaking or bolt
corrosion.
6. Up to 10' burial available on most tanks
Most of the underground tanks that we offer have CSA certified models suitable for up to
10' of earth cover. These heavy duty tanks easily withstand the
pressure of the ground and maintain their structural integrity for a
lifetime of trouble-free use.
7. Steel lifting cable on our underground tanks
All underground tanks that we manufacture come standard with steel
lifting cables. By using steel cable we are further protecting
our tank against the damage that is possible when moving a fibreglass
tank. These cables can also be intergrated into the optional
concrete anchor packages.
8. Manufacturing over 70 CSA Approved models
At Focus Industries Inc. we manufacture over 70 CSA approved models of
septic, syphon and sewage holding tanks. We manufacture even more
models of water cisterns, that do not require CSA approval. Our
optional double wall technology is ideal for above ground tanks that
store hazardous or corrosive, non-petroleum products. We have
molds that allow us to build custom tanks with diameters to 16' and we
have over 30 years experience in the design, manufacture and sale of
fibreglass tanks.
9. Manufacturing "Easy Burial" septic tanks
Our unique "easy burial" tanks do not require the addition of costly
pea gravel in the installation process. With our "easy burial"
tanks, the installer needs a truckload of gravel to ensure and flat,
level and compacted base, and then the native material (without large
pieces) is used to fill around and over the tank.
10. Our tanks are easy to handle and deliver
One of the great things about fibreglass is the relative low weight in
comparison to strength. Most of our tanks can be delivered or
picked up with a regular pickup and trailer. Regular
backhoes can easily set the tanks into the holes. Expensive and
heavy picker trucks, large backhoes and coordinated deliveries are not
needed.
